Moss / Thatch
Moss and thatch make it very difficult for grass root
to find light.
Removing (scarifying) moss/thatch yearly can stop the build
up of moss allowing your lawn to remain its best.
Soil Compaction
Aeration is recommended to resolve this problem.
We use a large Aerating
machine which removes plugs of soil.
Leather Jackets
Leather jackets are the larval stage of daddy long-legs and they can cause very bad damage to lawns.
They
feed on grass stems and roots of lawns, recent years of mild winters have made this problem in lawns worse.
It is best for us to diagnose grub infestation with a visit from us and we will take soil samples.
Once diagnosed
we can apply a pesticide treatment to solve this problem.
Garden Chafer Grubs
There are a variety of species of grubs living under turf
and the garden chafer grub is a very common grub to infest lawns.
If you notice patches of damaged/yellow
grass on your lawn, this could be an indication of grub infestation.
